What We Build
Our Services
FDM 3D printing and laser engraving for engineers, prototypers, and businesses in Albany and the Capital Region. Parts that work — on time, on spec, on budget.
3D Printing &
Rapid Prototyping
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printing is the workhorse of modern rapid prototyping. It's fast, cost-effective, and capable of producing functional, engineering-grade parts directly from your CAD files.
We work with a range of technical filaments selected for your specific application — whether that's a concept model for a meeting or a functional jig that needs to survive a production floor.
- Functional prototypes & proof-of-concept models
- Custom enclosures, housings & covers
- Jigs, fixtures & assembly tools
- Short-run production parts & replacement components
- Engineering study models & fit checks
- Custom brackets, mounts & adapters
Materials We Print
| Material | Best For |
|---|---|
| PLA | Concept models, display parts, low-stress applications. Excellent detail and surface finish. |
| PETG | Functional parts needing toughness and moisture resistance. Great all-rounder for engineering use. |
| ASA | Outdoor and UV-exposed parts. Excellent weather resistance, dimensional stability. |
| ABS | High-temp applications, post-processing requiring solvent smoothing or painting. |
| TPU | Flexible parts: gaskets, grips, vibration dampeners, snap-fit components. |
| PLA-CF | Short-fiber carbon composite. Lightweight, rigid display and structural parts where weight reduction matters. |
| PETG-CF | Carbon-reinforced toughness and moisture resistance. Strong all-round engineering parts with added stiffness. |
| ABS-CF | Stiff, high-temp carbon composite. Industrial enclosures and components that need heat resistance and rigidity. |
| PA-CF | Nylon carbon fiber — best mechanical performance of the group. Stiff, strong, and lightweight. Ideal for brackets, housings, and functional load-bearing parts. |
| PC-CF | Maximum stiffness and heat resistance. Extreme engineering applications requiring both thermal stability and structural rigidity. |
CF filaments use short chopped carbon fibers for added stiffness and weight reduction. Not the same as layered carbon fiber composites — we'll advise on suitability for your application.

3D Scanning &
Reverse Engineering
Have a physical part but no CAD file? Our Revopoint MetroX captures real-world geometry at 0.02mm accuracy — turning physical objects into precise, workable digital files ready for printing, modification, or archiving.
From reverse engineering legacy components to capturing custom surfaces for bespoke part design, 3D scanning unlocks possibilities that start in the physical world.
- Reverse engineering parts with no existing CAD files
- Archiving physical objects as permanent digital assets
- Custom-fit parts — scan a surface, design around it
- Dimensional inspection & geometry verification
- Creating printable replicas of existing objects
- Manufacturing reference & product documentation

Deliverable Formats
STL / OBJ / PLY
Ready for 3D printing, inspection, or fabrication.
Point Cloud (ASC / XYZ)
Raw scan data for CAD modeling or archiving.
STEP / IGES (on request)
Converted surface models for parametric CAD workflows.
How to Get Started
01
Send or Bring Your Part
Ship the physical object to us or arrange a local drop-off. Note dimensions and any special geometry in your quote request.
02
We Scan and Clean
We capture full geometry at 0.04mm accuracy, process the mesh, and send you a preview of the scan output.
03
Choose Your Deliverable
Select output format: STL for printing, STEP for CAD, point cloud for archiving, or all of the above.
04
Receive Digital Files
Files delivered digitally. Add a print run to the same order and we handle it start to finish.
Laser Engraving
& Cutting
Add permanent, precision markings to your 3D printed parts — or bring us other materials for standalone engraving jobs. Our laser module handles part marking, branding, serial numbers, QR codes, and custom decorative work.
Available as an add-on to any 3D printing order, or as a standalone service for compatible materials.
- Part marking & serial numbers
- Logo & brand engraving on parts
- Custom text, dates, signatures
- QR codes & barcodes
- Engraved gifts & custom items
- Cutting thin materials (wood, acrylic, cardstock)
Compatible Materials
Wood & Wood Products
Plywood, MDF, bamboo, hardwood. Excellent contrast and detail.
Plastics & 3D Printed Parts
PLA, PETG, ABS, acrylic. Mark your own 3D printed components.
Leather & Fabric
Genuine leather, synthetic leather, thick fabric. Great for custom goods.
Paper & Cardstock
Precision cutting and engraving for packaging, templates, and stencils.
Note: Metal engraving requires specialized equipment and is not currently available. Contact us if you have a metal marking requirement.
How to Get Started
01
Submit Your Request
Add engraving to a 3D printing order or submit a standalone laser request via the quote form. Note material and dimensions.
02
Send Your Artwork
Upload an SVG, AI, or high-resolution PNG. No file? Describe the text, logo, or marking and we'll set it up.
03
Approve the Proof
We send a layout preview showing placement and sizing before any cutting or engraving begins.
04
Parts Marked and Returned
Engraved parts shipped back or bundled with your 3D printing order. Bundle orders ship together.
